Seega is a traditional strategy game that has been played in Egypt since the 17th century and has become widespread since the 19th century. The game is interesting because it shows similarities to the ancient Greek and Roman period games. Seega is played on a special wooden board consisting of 5x5, 7x7 or 9x9 rows of squares with a marked center point. Our game is set on a playground consisting of 7x7 rows of squares. In the game, each player has 24 wooden pieces of their own color. Who will start the game is determined by draw. The players take turns placing the pieces they have on the playing field. In this placement section, each player places their two pieces on the playing field in the first round, while in the following rounds the players place one piece on the playing field. Another rule during the placement phase is that no piece can be placed in the marked central square. After the placement is complete, whoever has the turn to move makes the first move to throw the opponent's pieces out of play. Pieces can move one square forward, backward and sideways. There is no cross movement, and once the pieces start to move, the central square can also be moved. The piece in the central square cannot be captured and taken out of the game, but they can make moves to remove the opponent pieces from the game. If a player squeezes an opponent's piece between their two pieces, the cut off piece is removed from play. If the player puts their piece between the opponent's two pieces with their own move, the piece remains on the playing field and continues to move. The opponent must make a backward move and come forward again before they can move this piece out of play. If any player has two pieces between two pieces of the opponent, those pieces remain on the playing field and continue to move. In the event that the opponent has no more moves, the turn goes back to the other player. The game ends when all pieces of one of the players are taken out of play or when the number of pieces set at the start of the game is captured. Seega supports analytical thinking, provides understanding of the importance of planned action, improves the ability to think quickly and accurately, supports the sense of self-confidence and provides adopting a fair-play culture. With these aspects, Seega is a very entertaining game and at the same time an educational material.
