The Royal Game of Ur is known as one of the oldest games in human history. It was brought back to life by the British Royal Museum with special studies. The Royal Game of Ur is played on a special platform consisting of 20 squares. The middle corridor of the platform is the common area and is considered as the "battle" field. The corridors close to the players themselves are their own sheltered areas, where encountering pawns or pawns belonging to the other player does not cause the other player to be thrown out of the game and even causes the other player to change the order of the game. In addition, there are 5 sheltered areas with rose motifs on the entire game platform. The protected area protects the pawn on it from attack regardless of the zone and does not allow that pawn to be kicked out of the playing area. Who starts the Royal Game of Ur is determined by the roll of the dice.4 four-sided dice are thrown by the players in turns. The ones with the upside of the dice are counted. The player with the highest score counts from their corridor with a new shot and put their pawn into play. The turn of the dice toss passes to the next player and the next player takes their pawn into the game by traveling as much as they throw. The goal of the game is to get the 7 pawns of each player out of the corridor in less time than the other player. No two pawns can be found at the same time in any square except the rose pattern. One or more pawns belonging to the same player can coexist in the square with rose pattern. If there is a meeting in the same square outside of their corridor and the protected area, the pawn that came later pushes the pawn belonging to the other player out of the game and that pawn has to start the game again. The player who puts a pawn in the protected area gains the right to roll the dice again. Each player can put 7 pawns on the playing field in any order in accordance with the strategy they have created. The number of moves a pawn must move outside the game corridor must be reached with the roll of dice. For instance, if 3 is required for a pawn to go out of the corridor, but 4 is reached by the roll of the dice, the pawn remains stationary and the turn of the game passes to the next player. The player who moves all the pawns out of the corridor wins the game. The game course can be changed and made more challenging by mutual decision of each player. The Royal Game of Ur is a good strategy and tactical game that has improving effects on counting, analytical thinking and fair-play, as well as an educational material where luck is also a factor.
